Healthcare worker in covid19

You keep us safe. We can help you feel safe.

Supporting our Healthcare workers and first responders

WHO we are and WHY we want to help.

My name is Laura Cross and I am the founder and owner of Individual and Relationship Therapy Center, PLLC. We are located in Glendale, CO and we are a psychotherapy practice consisting of 7 therapists who are highly trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for individuals and couples. Many of our therapists are also fully trained in EMDR, a model of therapy proven to be highly successful in trauma. Beyond that, we are human, relatable, and kind people who are profoundly grateful for what you do every day.

We are aware of the privilege we experience by being able to continue our 'work' in the safety of our home while you, our healthcare providers, and first responders, head into the world of uncertainty that exists with COVID-19. We understand the long, and short-term toll experiences like this can have on individuals, couple relationships, and families. We want to provide first responders and healthcare workers with help. Your work with us is completely confidential.

HOW we would like to help.

Our team is offering a few hours a week to provide free, confidential individual therapy OR couples counseling for those who feel it will be helpful. The counseling will take place remotely. We are not affiliated with any hospital, administration, or organization. We are just us. A group of therapists who care and would like to offer healthcare workers and first responders support.

WHAT is the program?

  • You will receive four pro bono sessions to take place during a time period not to exceed 6 weeks. Ideally you can meet 4 weeks in a row to maximize your experience

  • You can request either individual for yourself, OR couples therapy for you and your partner

  • The goal behind offering a series of free sessions is to allow you to have a real resource – not just for a moment, but for the next 4-6 weeks, as you continue to navigate the ever-changing circumstances in your work.

  • There are a finite number of hours available so please reach out soon.

HOW to get started:

  1. Contact Michel Barta, Client Engagement Specialist, 720-639-7724 Ext 0 OR Michel@IndividualRelationshipCenter.com

  2. Michel will guide you through a brief intake process (10 minutes)

  3. Michel will then ask one of our therapists to call you to schedule your first appointment at a mutually convenient time

    • If for some reason your schedule doesn't align with your assigned therapist's schedule, you will be re-connected with Michel and she will align you with someone else on our team.

  4. You will complete some required paperwork and then you will get started!

If you are unsure whether you want to participate in this program, or have any other questions, I invite you to call Michel and she will do her very best to address your concerns.

Deep listening is the kind of listening that can help relieve the suffering of another person. You can call it compassionate listening. You listen with only purpose: to help him or her to empty his heart....listening like that, you give that person a chance to suffer less
